Choose Joy. A Run For Noël.

With gratitude and joy for my dear friend Noël Schroeder, I am running the Loco Half Marathon on October 24th. I’m running to commemorate her life, create awareness about brain cancer and to raise money for a local charity called Annie’s Angels.  

Annie's Angels is an organization that aids families struggling financially through a life threatening disease, illness or disability. They helped to make Noël and Eric’s journey less burdensome with guidance, and much emotional and material support. 

Noel passed away in January 2021 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. As one of her caregivers, I saw the grit, strength, humor, grace, and determination Noël had to the very end. Each mile I run during the Loco Half Marathon in October will be in honor of her passion and zest for life.

I will forever be grateful for this beautiful woman/soul/friend/teacher. She showed me what it truly means to shine bright, even in the darkest of moments.
