Bequests

Annie’s Angels Memorial Fund Inc. appreciates the generosity of those who support our mission of helping local families struggling financially through life threatening disease, illness or disability connecting neighbor to neighbor, friend to friend and business to business on a caring fundraising network. Bequests are one means for forward-thinking donors to help ensure that our programs continue to flourish.

A bequest may be arranged either when you create a will or by asking your lawyer to prepare a simple codicil to be added to your existing will. Although you may restrict the bequest to programs in a particular field (e.g., Annie’s Helping Hands, Angel Pets for Vets), we ask that you add a proviso giving the Trustees of Annie’s Angels Memorial Fund the authority to use the bequest for Annie’s Angels general purposes if such a restriction proves impractical. Annie’s Angels would appreciate your providing a copy of the text of your bequest for our files.

Alternatives to a specific cash bequest include marketable securities or a percentage of the estate after payment of taxes, expenses, and other specified bequests. Other options include listing the Annie’s Angels Memorial Fund Inc. as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or pension. In some states, you may include the Annie’s Angels Memorial Fund as the beneficiary of a certificate of deposit or savings account; you may do this at no cost simply by completing the appropriate forms at your bank or personnel office. Please consult with your financial advisor to determine which options are available in your state.
